ok i have a 89 hatchie thaqt i am piecing back together.(don't ask)is there any wiring that goes from the actual steering wheel to the column?

they are no wires from steering wheel to colum, but there is a contact plate with several tracks to get signal from wheel to column i will post a pic later tonite.
