Australians seem to know these engines pretty well, wonder if this HG is any better than a Cometic.

just reading the description, it looks like the bomb. all the proper holes appear to be there. i dont see why it shouldnt work. maybe someone has some input on this thing? the huge fat guy on the front is willing to put his name on it.

anyone using a COMETIC metal HG have any complaints?

My mechanic has started using the new metal hg range from ACL in some rebuilds (CA/SR) and they seem to prove good :o

I think its more important to have good quality new head bolts/studs personally. Even the Nissan OEM head gasket is quite good :p

I've never seen a bad metal head gasket actually. People were reusing the bead types back in the day. Head gasket failure is rarely the fault of the gasket, it's almost always the goof behind the wrench and/or the steering wheel that causes the failure.
