Car: spending too much money on my cars.

I just completed my FMIC install. My IC hangs down to where it's about level with my stock front lip. There's no way the undertray will fit without some serious cutting. Is it worth it? I thought the tray was to protect the alternator and such. As well as to direct the flow of air under the car.

I originally kept it, but I work on the car so much that I got sick of pulling it off and putting it back on so I finally got rid of it, its been fine without it.

I left mine on, discovered it cooled the engine bay by 5-8 degrees with it on.

I left mine off.. the intercooler sticks about an inch below the bumper. I did leave the reinforcement intact though.
