i will be in the market soon to pick up some nice 19 or 20" summer wheels. I am thinking about wrapping them in the yoko v.drives. does anyone have any experience with these tires?

I only see s.drives under yokohama on tirerack.com or yokohama's site. Is it a new tire?

I've had pretty good results in the past with Yokohamas. I wish I could remember the name of the last set I ran. Its discontinued, but for a middle of the line UHP tire, it performed well at the track. Much better than some Bridgestone summer tires I used. Grip was not as good as the top tier tires, but the track mannerisms were exceptional. The stiff sidewalls probably had a lot to do with that though (they used steel inserts IIRC).

good catch. i meant s.drive.

These tires will just be for summer/spring weather. The car will not be going to the track so it will be a normal road/everyday tire for me.

I've got the S-Drive on my 04 Coupe and so far they've been fine!I haven't really pushed it though. Good excuse to go do so this weekend

Howver, I haven't experienced any problems (hydroplaning, noises, slipping).

I've got the Yoko Avids on my 05 G Sedan and daughter's 00 Max.They've been so far.

When the parts manager at my local Nissan dealer saw that I had S-drive's, he said that they were hard for him to get (didn't ask why) but said they were a really good tire. Tirerack seems to like them too.
