Just got a BB Pearl and am having trouble using it with my handsfree. It always reboots in the middle of a call. Frustrating as I was using a Motorola RAZR before this and was working flawlessly.

Folks at the BB forums suggest I find another a/c and try out the connection there to see if the problem is with the phone or the car's HF. Hah...little do they realize how hard it is to find another a/c and then let me pair up my phone!

If anyone has used a Pearl successfully or any other Blackberry I'd like to know what software version is on your device.

Thanks

Did you call your cellular provider's support line?

I don't know if I'm over-reacting but for me this is a deal-breaker. I have a hands-free kit with my car but can't use it because the BB is buggy!

I didnt call anyone... except 1900 big... well we can leave that out...

Maybe update the software on your fone, you can download the software online from BB site, then push it down to your fone thru the app loader.

when you call your service provider dont bother explaining it to them... ask them to pass you to RIM's BB technical... they are the only people who know what they are doing.

Apparently, the BB tech guy told me that the phones are not compatible with the 2008 Altima Coupes. He actually went as far to refer me to BlackBerry's article number KB04009 (http://www.blackberry.com/btsc...50957)

The article however doesn't list the a/c. Furthermore, Nissan's website specifically states that the BB Pearl is compatible although that doesn't necessarily mean that the hands-free will work.

I've been trying to find out the name/make of the hands-free kit installed in the a/c but haven't found anything. Anyone know?
