Just wondering if anyone has done this. We found the 2inch thick models for $100 and are thinking about installing this and bending our own piping.

Thoughts?

These have been used over and over and can be modified to work just fine.

Super! Have you ever seen any suggestions as to the best gauge of piping to use, piping size, and best direction/path of the bends for lowest pressure loss? Thanks!

Mild Aluminum is ideal and as far bending directions, the less the bend the better the flow (I know you know this). In 240s, yo shouldn't have to do too many bends for piping.

Are you using one of these? Did you do your own piping? If so, it would be great to see some pictures of it, just to give us a reference of somewhere to start. Thanks for all the input bro!

Myself and a friend just purchased one and is currently it adding to our 92 240sx SE. It had to be modified (inlet/outlet only) so that it's pefectly positioned like the one that's on his personal 240sx with boosted KA. If you want, I'll get some pics for you tomorrow and get some better info. I'm not a 240 specialist, but I can work on them. He (my friend) has a 240sx with KA that has put out 471whp @25psi, but that starting to be the magic # for most high boost KA powered 240s on this end of town.

Have to ask my friend. His cousin is getting them for the cars out of Seattle somewhere I believe. I'll post the info when I find it.

Rufus,

Is yours the tall or short NPR?

Its the retangular short 2inch thick one. If somebody finds a way to fit that tall 1 inch thick model in the front bumper they are a better man then me. :D

The tall one is even better and easier to fit! the only thing you have to do is reposition the outlets and that's it. He did the one on our project 240 with ease, but when I went to photograph it he started acting like a little pus, basically saying he don't want to share info. Bro, it's easy and I will photograph it because it's my car as well and no man (friend or not) can not tell me what to do or not to do (This craps no secret). If you can get the big one, get it because it fits easier than the shorter one and possibly flows a bit better. (some people are always trying to make a buck thinking they are the pioneers of something when in all actuality, they are very late).....I hate secrets and that's why I share with you guys what I'm doing with my motor.

well then you got my respect.

Do you really think the 1inch thick one flows better than the 2inch thinck rectangular one? What about pressure loss?

This is good info, thanks for hooking us up!
