Anyone use the extra Extended Warranty to get a loaner car?

When we bought my wife's Versa last summer we got it from a dealership over an hour away because they gave us a MUCH better price than our local Nissan place. We also bought the super-deluxe extended warranty (in part) beacuse it offers a free rental or loaner car if our car needs to be kept for repairs. I knew we might need that because, even though the place we bought the car from offeres free loaner cars, we probably will never drive all the way back there just for service. I will use my local Nissan dealership for warranty service work. That brings us to now. Our Versa is having the steering knock discussed in several other threads. This obviously isn't something that will be fixed while we sit in the waiting room. My wife will NEED a loaner car (which they aren't going to offer us for free since we didn't buy the car from them). Has anyone used the extended warranty to get a loaner? How much of a pain in the butt was it? All of this was explained to me when we bought it, but that was over a year ago. Besides, you know how that goes...they make it sound like if you ever need to use the warranty, angels will decend from Heaven and carry you anywhere you need to go while half-naked island girls wave palm branches over you and feed you grapes. I have a feeling it won't be quite like that.

I had to use my extended warranty to cover my loaner when my fuel pump failed at 800 miles and it real easy just tell the service writer that if the repair cannot be waited on that you have the gold plus Nissan extended warranty plan and they should have no problem giving you a loaner for the warranty repair.

Seriously? That's it? Wow, that would be great. I was thinking I'd probably have to pay for a rental out-of-pocket and then submit all kinds of paperwork and recepits to eventually be reimbursed. I like your way MUCH better!
