After reading a previous post this product came to mind since the oil filter is right above the damn axle boot.

nope, but looks bad a**... lol. use layers of newspaper and roll it up -.-

Take a plastic Gallon Milk jug and make one...if you want to get fancy you could even use a heat gun to shape it. Now it wont' be as nifty as this but it works.

I use plastic garbage bags the small ones, wrap around the axle dump the oil then remove the bag and toss.
