Anyone use a 95-96 front bumper on a 90-94 car

I notice the stock 95+ is almost identicle to an impul bumper. The gap's would make the car look more agressive. Anyone try this cheaper alternative? Also has anyone did a hood swap if they wanted a grill?

They wont match up with the front quarter panels.

I am not sure what you mean. I know they wont fit like stock, but it seems cheaper to modify the quarters than to buy an after market kit. What I was looking at is the location of the side markers.

Wes means that the whole front end is different on the later G50 with different attachment points, different panels, defferent lights, etc.

That's why you see all those poor rhynoplasty nose jobs with fake or worse grilles on old G50.

i am not complaining, and you guys are right, but one thing bugs me. I am not made of money, but I notice the import crowd is almost totally unfamiliar with hot rodding. Sure there is lots of fiberglassing, and engine swaps, but god forbid anyone try to do the black art of metal work. I have seen horrid attempts to do chop tops on classics, but at least people try. As cheap as some imports are I have never seen anyone do more than a JDM front clip swap. As comon as a q45 is vs a 50 merc or model A ford it seems like you would see all kinds of crazy front and rear mods, like taking the front off a jaguar or something.

Whats with that?

Japanese import buyers generally expect their cars to behave like Maytag appliances, so you see less DIY and less custom fabrication.

1.) Form over function. They prefer parking lot or trailer queens, not driving cross country. Kinda of like low riders.

2.) Pointless on a G50 unless you want a President, then where will you get the LHD headlights?

3.) You are eating too much salsa and pickles before you go to bed. With a glass of milk and cookies instead, you will not have these nightmares.

Nissan -did- take the front off a Jaguar. I cant remember the model name, but it was pretty in a blatant ripoff sort of way.

that was sorta the punch line.

Pointless on a G50 unless you want a President, then where will you get the LHD headlights?

Frenching or swaping head lights is the sam's club potato chips of hot rodding. And I do want the president sheet metal. If anyone has a source hook me up.
