Anyone upgrade the bluetooth in the M?

I have a 2006 M35X with built in Bluetooth that I cannot use! People on the other side always complain of either an echo or lots of background noise. I tried changing the setting for Bluetooth in the system from low, medium and high and same result. I even tried messing with the phone settings to see if I can get the annoying echo/noise out but no avail. I know there was a TSB a few years ago regarding the mike to be moved and the problems seem to have disappeared but the TSB is very old and I don't think Infiniti will entertain the TSB.

I am going to switch phones and hope that the noise goes away and if it doesn't I really want to either relocate the mic or install a new mike. Has anyone done that? Is there something you can recommend? Is it a DYI? It drives me nuts that I cannot use the Bluetooth on the car.

Enter the testing menu and change your phone type. Turn the radio off. Press and hold the settings button and rotate the volume knob clockwise until you see the diagnostics menu appear. Keep turning the knob another full turn then let the settings button go. Can't remember exactly where but there's a setting to switch from a PCM to GSM phone or vice versa.

Any luck on the upgrade? I have an 07 M45 and would also like to upgrade the bluetooth.
I am wondering if anyone has done a complete upgrade to the 08-10 audio system.

I'm on my third HTC phone coz, well, coz I want the latest LOL. I have never had any issues. Mostly the complaints I hear come from peeps who linked an I-phone or an Apple phone to their M's. I still say that Apple designs their products so they can't work smoothly with anything but other Apple stuff. I have no proof - just my opinion.

I have a 07 m35 and a Iphone 5. I don't see any problems with my bluetooth. Usually people dont realize that they are on bluetooth when i talk to them..

I have a work blackberry and a personal samsung s4 and both are really bad. people say its like im in a tunnel

Guys this a know issue with the M.. There is a fix for it unfortunately it requires a new DVD GPS drive and an updated microphone that's relocated just above the drivers head..
