hey guys, if I buy this boost controller in stead of the greddy Profec-B....will this eliminate the need for me to purchase a boost gauge? I think I read that it has a screen with a data disply showing current boost levels.

Is this a good unit? or should I just go for the profec-b?

Hey,I got a Blitz Dual SBC Spec R and Blitz Turbo Timer for sale if your interested. They are the Silver with the Indiglo display. The boost controller has a built in boost gauge as well. I got a posting in the Buy/Sell/Trade if you want more details. Oh yeah, here is the description from the Blitz website:

The Dual Solenoid Boost Controller Spec R (DSBC Spec R) has four programmable boost settings or various levels of boost. This unit features a built-in boost gauge, peak boost display, four different boost settings, boost warning, scramble boost, and a boost limiter safety feature to prevent over boosting. The DSBC Spec R uses a dual solenoid design for maximum boost response. This unit is capable of handling boost up to 2.5bar (36psi). The DSBC Spec R is 1/4 din in size and is compatible with internal actuators and external wastegates. This unit is available in a silver case with an green LCD display. The difference between the DSBC Spec R and Spec S is the solenoid design. Spec R uses dual solenoid while the Spec S uses a single solenoid design.

Greddy all the way.....nuthin touches Greddy products in my mind (besides HKS of course) I myself am running the E-01 and its a great unit.....its really hard to program and it takes alot of guess and check tuning whereas the profec B is more of a plug and play unit. easier to program but with the e-01 u can smooth out ur boost curve via duty cycles (which I'm still tryin to perfect) to get the maximum power in a constant level. Also when u plan future upgrades E-Manage is a nasty piggy back fuel computer and a day at dyno tuning with the e-01 and e-manage will give u some insane levels of horsepower with nice a/f ratios throught the board..........especially if ur planning to go with a bigger turbo u'll need fuel management and this in my opinon is definately the way to go.......also it does display ur level of boost and has a resetable peak level where it will show u the highest boost u hit during a run until reset, and its got an alert where u set it and if u go past that level of boost it will start ringing and flashing its pretty cool. And w/ emanage it can display everything else like rpm, throttle and a ton of other stuff.

I had the same problem but we kinda figured it out now were guess and checking to get it right.....tell him to mess with the duty cycles...(rpm offset) just increase it a little bit up till about 6000....i hit 15.4 psi with the set at 70% at 15 Gain and 4.0psi start boost and starting at 4000RPM goin in 500RPM intervals (on the RPM OFFSET) i went 4, 8, 12, 16, 16 and it hit 15.4 PSI  :ylsuper and was gonna keep goin but i let off cause thats too much for the sr20 w/ the t-25.....im still tryin to get it right (14.0 for hi boost and 12.0 for low boost), hope that helps......
