My RH is going in for more surgery. The Cam I had installed wasnt enough...

I'm having the PDM 404.H cam spec ground into mine, a few thousand more taken off the head... along with the Towers being dropped .030".

The good part...

While its apart, It's getting the exhuast valve diameters increased! My machinist did loads of work on Ford 2.0 and 2.3 heads back in the day and has extensive experience with racing 4 cylinders and is sure my engine will really respond very well to it... He is going to go through some parts books and see what is available that my head can be made to fit.

DAMN I'm excited.

I'll let you guys know how it goes. The only thing I see being an issue is the stock ECU. With the exhaust flowing faster, with the hotshot and duration on the cam, it should void the cylinder faster and with the overlap, I should get a decent increase.

I wouldn't expect much from enlarging the exaust valves. The exaust only needs to be about 75% of the intake. What cam did you have that wasn't enough?

I have about 50 miles on fresh rebuild with that cam (R-4). It seems to have moved the power band up about 1000 rpm's with the other mods. I'm thinking maybe the best bang for the buck is to throw away the E.F.I.! I would most definantely trade it for a Mikuni setup.

Give that new engine time to break in.Mine made vast improvements at 500 miles... again at 1500miles. My machinist says I should see my max gain at 5000 miles... especially since I'm using CrMo rings.What Mods have you installed/done/machined

I'm a machinist so most everything was made or done myself. I ported the head and cut and blended the seats like I like em. Romoved the primary tube butterflies and worked the intake a bit. Overbored to 90mm with forged pistons. Raised to 11:1 static compression ratio. Bored Throttle BodyR-4 CamMSD IgnitionWaiting on JWT modified ECU

Oh yea I forgot Hotshot Header, K&N cone filter, and some other small mods.

One more small mod is a port injected nitrous setup. Made from a bunch of spare parts. Current jets are to make 100 HP extra.I also balanced the rotating assembly.

Sounds like a really nice build, especially since I thought I had a nice build.

I thought of removing my butterflies as well, adding a better coil/wires and smoothing my MAF and Throttle body.

Are you going to Dyno soon ? I'd like to see how our numbers differ. I should see a Dyno this spring/summer.

Spray is definately not in my agenda. As I am not a machinist, lol, I cant afford to do this all over again.... hehe.
