Here it is:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

I will be getting a turbo soon, probably a 57 trim, and these are a good price, so wondering if anyone has tried one.

I'm not even going to look at the link because it's probably not worth my time.

Don't buy anything from anything other than a reputable dealer...ebay is not your friend unless your buying a used turbo.

Stone mountain racing is the same thing as ssautochrome. Their turbos are usually junk. I wouldn't reccomend it.

So the only person who has tried an XS turbo hasn't had any problems.... Really guys I am looking for people who have actually tried one....Not speculation or your opinions. (Not to be rude or anything) Hopefully someone has tried the 57 trim and can let me know.

I believe it was wildmaxx who had a turbo ZY, and one piece of the compressor blades chipped off, and went into his engine, and tore it up!

just to chime in..i've seen 2 turbo failures with the ssac/turbozy brand.on one, compressor housing just fell off.other one, is the ^ one

theres reasons to why turbochargers are expensive.they operate under extreme conditions, and is a vital part of your ka-t.. so just go with a reputable turbocharger.

or..if you have a spare engine in pretty good shape to turbocharge, you can do it and see how it goes.if it goes well, two thumbs.if it doesnt, o well. lesson learned

im going to give you a lesson in buying parts from ebay...never do it...simply because youll spend more money getting parts that dont fit your car or just dont work, than buying from a respectable company. id be mad if i sold a 240sx and someone put junk parts on it...do it to any other car, but a 240sx...i love them

um as far as i know no one has had an issue with 'xs power' turbos. i can't speak for any others that are affiliated with ssac though. but someoe correct me if this is wrong. zy i have heard just about every bad thing you can imagine. but i have one of the tiny xs power straight t3's (.48 turbine, .42 compressor)... had it for a year and no problems yet. but i'd say if you've got the funds go with something better (maybe something with a warranty that you can get them to honor, or a company that doesn't have such a sketchy past, etc). chipped blade into engine = dead car... that happened to someone recently... wildmax i think? but he actually had a zy turbo if i remember correctly... not a xs power one. but i don't know of anyone that has this exact turbo right now. i have the littler one. and there are others with it too but i can't really speak for this exact one. but i have to say i completely planned on getting something better later on, from the start. it was just such a good price i had to do it. and everything has held up surprisingly well. but i knew that even if the turbo cracked in half or destroyed my engine, the price of the full kit was okay because the wg is good (same one bd uses) and the bov, well unless it is not functional, well it's not making much of a difference if i have a no name one or a blitz, or whatever you want for $200 plus. and i have other modes of transportation if my car gets screwed for some reason (and i factored it all into my turbo fund). if i was building the engine and starting fresh i would always go with something that i can trust. but it all depends on your budget and if you are planning on building the engine or whatever.why not just get a used turbo instead?what is appealing to you about this turbo? if the cost thing is the only issue and you are worried about the same thing everyone else is with budget 'new' turbos, then get a used one and sleep a little easier. if you're building the engine and all why the hell are you even thinking about something less than worthy of the build you are doing? if you rebuild an engine, even if you leave it in the completely stock form, using a budget setup is just blasphemy. save some money and break in the engine... then do something awesome.but yeah i have no idea what your plans are, or where you stand on any of this.

honestly i can't believe you posted this question though... you have a a bunch of posts under your belt, so i would have thought you would hear this a million times over by now. i've said verbatim what i said above oh just a handful of times in the last month or so.

one more thing though... buying stuff from ebay isn't all bad. you just have to plan on things not working out perfectly. and they won't, no matter where you get your stuff from. i have bought quite a bit of things off ebay to date and haven't got screwed over too many times, and also have a good running car. it's easy to get screwed over just about anywhere, not just ebay. but i understand the hostility because it seems to happen more on ebay. i don't know it's hard to back them up but i can say that my experiences have not been bad (especially for the prices), but maybe i'm just lucky so far. i got screwed out of a carbon hood by some *******, and ebay's protection policy is very sketchy, so i'm not really happy about that.

XS Power is not, http://www.xs-engineering.com/ for the record.

This is XS Power, http://www.xs-power.com/monthly-special-turbos.htm and they sell poor quality products. Plain and simple...not to much to debate here fella's. You may luck out and have a part last for awhile. But it is definitly not worth the risk or waste of time. There are so many decent companies out there, to use one that has a renound reputation for selling bad products is just stupid.

Use your own judgement, you get what you pay for. You pay 250 dollars for a turbo, you get just that, a 250 dollar turbo, their obviously cutting corners somewhere. If thats what your budget requires you to get, then by all means get it. If it works for you great, consider yourself lucky. For me Ill pay the extra money for my Turbonetics turbo, and have the peace of mind knowing that it has been assembled well using quality parts, and if anything happens theres a reputable company standing behind it with a warranty.

C'mon...Garrett turbos are the CHEAPEST, GOOD turbos on the market.

Anything less than ~$550-600 for a new T3/T4 is a bad deal, period.

These things cost money...and while I like a deal...decent turbos cost money.

$350 for a new T3/T4 is not a deal, it's a ripoff

I have talked to someone who rebuilds turbos. The design was fine it was the type of material that was used that caused problems. Those turbos will not last very long. I was fortunate that mine didn`t implode.

Ebay is the shizzle. You just can't be an idiot. Imagine that, you have to actually think to get ahead in life.

I would be inclined to buy one of their manifolds, and I have one of their intercoolers. But I don't think I would go with one of their turbos. Judging from the pictures, they don't look to bad, but I would just go used. If you are on a budget like me, just get a used one, rebuild it if you need to, then you're gravy.
