Anyone That's Swapped out a brake light switch...? 1991 240SX

Anyone that's ever swapped out a brake light switch... How much of a problem did you have? There are two switches underneath the dashboard. It's not hard to determine which switch is for your brake lights. The problem is that the location of the switch is very difficult to get to. To the many of you who have already tackled this problem - I'd like to know how you replaced the switch or the little rubber piece that goes on the switch shaft. I have no problem finding the right switch, only getting to the switch to either replace it or replace the rubber "spacer". How did you do it?

I have never gotten around to trying, because the old I.D. card I taped to the pedal arm works so well

I used a penny and a nickel super glued togeather and then glued to the pedal so the switch hits it. Cost about six cent to fix, lol. Found it easier to take the lower piece of the dash off and lower the steering column. Pretty easy

It's a pain to remove, but all you need is an open end wrench and some patience. I believe it helps tremendously to remove the switch next to it first so you have more room.

you can also get the little rubber part from some of the sponsors on here, i think midway has them although i dont recall the part number.

I went through this whole thing, my brake lights werent working, the rubber piece was missing, I got a new one and tried to get it in there but im 6ft3 and a pretty big guy, I was having trouble getting it in with the limited space. I called one of my friends to help who is alot smaller than me and he got it in within 10min.
