I found that thread too but it didn't really say how to take the pump apart. There's got to be a DIY out there if you googled it. I do remember reading that cleaning corrosion off the external contacts helped quiet the pump and lower it's ohms resistance.

Googled like crazy.Only info for mech.pumps,and one for a carter in a 84 jag.

so there is no one out there that took apart a fuel pump?just need to know how to get sleeve off without cutting it off,and well maybe what to look for on inside to switch.

I'm just curious... you said you want to make one good one out of two bad ones. It's pretty likely that they all fail the same way - so I would suspect that whatever is bad on one is bad on the other.

230 views,and noone has info on taking one apart?Just hate to toss out a part that costs so much.I mean thats how someone felt about tossing a maf,or fpcu they took it apart to see what could be fixed.
