Anyone swapped the gear changer knob on a g50?

Thing is kinda big and clunky... I really like the new M/Q units.. Chrome/wood..

Anyone know if a swap would be possible?

Or..

Anyone know any good links with units available for the G50? Do all knobs, fit all cars? I see a ton on ebay, but will they fit?

The g50s is big.. Is it because the knob is big, or the part the knob surronds.. (all I can think of is pole) If that part is massive, I guess there is no point in swapping nobs, because if the pole part sticks up that far, a smaller knob, won't accomplish anything...

In fact by looks if the pole part sticks all the way up throguht he current knob, then that means the knob isnt that big at all..

Any thoughts?

I would think that any........ uhmm..."knob" made for an auto would work....unfortunately all the cool ones are for manuals.....

BTW how do you remove the..... uhmmm....... knob.
