lol. True that... people get so butt-hurt on that show when they don't get the exact price they were hoping for. Or my personal favorite: the professional states that in its current condition it could go for fifteen hundred at auction. And then Rick turns to the customer: "so how much do you want for it?", customer: "well he just said it was worth fifteen hundred so I think that's fair".Not in this one. Dude wanted to retire. Earth to idiot: you ain't gonna retire by selling Datsuns!
Seriously. You're not getting the "at auction" price in a pawn shop dude.Coombs wrote:

Precisely, you're using a middle-man to get cash now for what you want to get rid of. IMO most of the people that bring useless crap into the shop could do well with an eBay account and plenty of time with Google.Seriously. You're not getting the "at auction" price in a pawn shop dude.
Actually, it's not really about cars or antiques. It's about a pawn shop. But unlike most reality shows, the stars/hosts are actually decent human beings, so it's tolerable. Basically, it just covers the more interesting stuff people bring in to sell (or the more interesting people who bring stuff in to sell). A lot of times the shop brings in experts to appraise or authenticate stuff.simmode1 wrote:I have never heard of this show... sounds like Antiques Roadshow for cars or something. I guess I need to check it out!
Exactly. And while you're watching you're so suckered into the humor that you're actually getting a history lesson too. It's a really neat program imo.Actually, it's not really about cars or antiques. It's about a pawn shop.
