it was my first drift event and it was sooooooo tight. also, "tarzan" yamada is crazy. he did a burnout till his tires shredded on the track. :ylsuper the croud was a little dissapointing though, i guess you're not suppose to cheer for drifting in america. other than that it was awesome

yeah i was there! Tarzan IS crazy. it was my first big drift event and damn...good stuff. yeah the crowd was pretty dead...and those fools who jacked banners really pissed me off-i thought it was a very lowly act. I really liked how the cars would go to their booths after competition to be worked on or showcased. It's so much better seeing those than ones that are just show queens. These actually have the "go", and prove it too. all in all, kick a$s :ylsuper

you too!!! LOL I think everybody that wasnt under an umberlla all day was burnt, the only thing on my head that isnt burnt was the area covered by my sunglasses.

had an awesome time though, got to hook up and shop talk with Underground and McKinney Motorsports (thanks guys).

Plus I think I might be goin to Vegas now to the convention if for nothing else to see the Underground Motorsports Project Car

the H-el Camino didnt make the top 8 but, i gota to give the guy a lot of credit, hes got conviction and balls to drive that thing from texas to ca and pay the entry fee....and did anybody got a close-up look at it....its was an automatic to boot.

As for winner I left right before the awards ceremony but I am pretty sure Mopar won in the Viper.

I'm pissed that the Viper won. Becuase I don't want to see all kinds of domestics in the drift shows. Right now it's all about the Import cars, it's like their sport. If the Vipers keep winning pretty soon there are going to be lots of Vipers and who knows, maybe even Corvettes and ****.. don't like it. Altho Sam is an excellent driver. I don't think the H-El Comino even made qualifing~

thats kind of closed minded dont you think. If domestics wanna race fine, every car showed be welcomed with open arms...who says just because the japanese "invented" (which i'm sure they didnt) drifting that they should be the only ones doing it. If nothing else having high horsepower cars will push the other drivers to become better themselves, in order to match. Just wait and see, i'm betting gush or steve-o will be on the top in a matter of time...Once that happens nobody will care if there are domestics or not, becuase for the most part its not the car you need to worry about it the drivers. without the right driver no car can win, no matter how beefy it is

its not the car that wins it helps but its the driver... i saw sam at d1 and he was on par with all the top japanese drivers, the only reason he didnt progress further in d1 is that he didnt alter his line for the tandom drifting.

Hmm,

I had noticed that at Formula D in Houston. I wanted Ken Gushi to go on and win because he had a different line every time, while Sam took the same line every single time, THE WHOLE TIME.

i had mucho fun at that thing. When i arrived...I was in awe! Nothing like the sound of screeching tires. I thought Calvin Wan was very impressive. Man, I was drooling over the JIC car, and the s13 hatch w/ the s15 front end. AMAZING!!! Can't wait for another drift event! :D
