Anybody else's sr20det loud like mine. My engine bay is filled with sounds of ticking or clicking..can't really tell but to me, it sounds like my injectors are just loud. i know my ka24de's injectors were noticable but, the sr's is almost twice as bad.. anyone else?

Im not sure if it's the same with SR's but maybe you need to adjust the valve's? I know honda's tend to tick a lot when their not adjusted after a certain amount of mi.

My injectors are loud as well. I'm sure it's ok to have a noisy injector or two. Other than that, no noises. (knock, knock, knock)

It is probably the lifters. They get air in them and tick. BTW, nismostate, we have hydrolic (sp?) lifters and they adjust automatically. The up side is not having to adjust. The down side is that they can get unstable at high RPM's. That is one of the reasons you see some Hondas reving to 9K+.

Yup. Its most likely the hydraulic lash adjusters. If they get air in them you have to bleed them, or else they will tick.

bleeding usually requires you to remove the lash adjuster and soak it in engine oil, then take a long stick and push in on the plunger a couple of times until it becomes stiff and you can't push it no more. have fun :)

Requires the removal of the valvecover, cams, and rockers.

Exactly what tenkawa said. You need to submerse the HLA in oil and depress the spring loaded plunger inside with a rod of some sort.

Look in the service manual.

I forgot to mention that HLA needs to stay submerged while you push in on the plunger
