**ANYONE'S G50 DOOR LOCK/HANDLE EVER BIND UP ON THEM?**

I went to unlock the driver's side door as usual by turning the key clockwise (unlock) - thinking nothing of the habit, I then lifted the handle only to discover that it was still somehow 'locked' (there was free-play) - I then re-inserted the key and turned it both ways, all the way to the left this time, then all the way to the right - attempted to open again - this time, there was some soft resistance (as opposed to the usual, definite engagement of the mechanicals inside the door which opens it) - I then turned the key as I just did and tried it again - still the same behaviour - so I lilghtly pulled up on the handle while simultaneously turning the key both ways in the lock cylinder - still no success - has anyone experienced this before - could this mechanical failure be assoc w/ any lubrication issues that I need to know about - advise - thx all - - - - - - - - -

I had the same thing happen to me a few months back. My tech somehow got the door panel off while the door was closed. It was the rod that attaches to the actuator that had gone bad/slipped out of place or just plane broke.

I finally ripped the panel off (carefully) - removed the entire door latch/lock assy and massaged/exercized it - works fine now - - - - - - -

My rear passenger side door only opens if you lift the handle slowly. Weirdest damn thing. My only rear passenger is a subwoofer anyway.

ya i had the same problem i was the door lock actuator on mine, could not even use the remote for the drivers door, then it would jam and re-lock all the doors
