SDS EM4-F. I love it. The car runs and idles pretty well. Not any real cold start issues. Great power. Good flexibility. Easy to program. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

LOL, this forum is too slow for that crap. What would I do if I didn't just repeat myself all the time?

Are you familiar with SDS? Maybe check out their website HERE. Cost isn't THAT much cheaper than some of the other stuff out there. If you're willing to try building one yourself, Megasquirt is hard to touch as far as price is concerned. I picked mine up USED for $800 off eBay. New will run you about $1500-$1800. As far as tuning is concerned, if you're wanting a lot of built in options like boost control, turbo anti-lag, self tuning, ect, then no, SDS isn't for you. If you want an easy to install system (I've never installed a standalone before and I did mine in a weekend and it started the first try) and don't want to have a laptop in the car and want to be able to easily change settings in the ECU whenever you want, then yes, the SDS is for you. The only real "options" that I think it has is a MAP/RPM switch ouput and the A/C fast idle/N20 retard functions. All of the other stuff like cold fast idle, fuel pump relay control, knock sensing, ect is pretty standard stuff as far as standalones go.

THE MAIN reason I didn't get any other standalone out there was because I didn't want to drop the dough for a laptop (I don't have one) for no other reason but to tune the ECU. I know it could be used for other stuff, but it wouldn't really fit into my lifestyle. Anyway, IMHO, SDS FTW.
