hey guys,

after 2000 miles of normal street driving, its time for new tires...again. fcuk. anyways, im running some serious camber, not sure how many degrees, but its a lot. was wondering if anyone else out there with a lot of negative camber is running the Nitto Neo Gens. its suppose to wear better than other tires on negative camber. this is my DD and i dont track, drift, etc. only thing this old boat does is bring the groceries home, so im not too concerned about good wet/dry traction, road noise, etc... i just need a tire that will last longer on a lot of negative camber.

so far, ive just been buying used (about 65% life left) and they last me about 2000 miles or less(usually less, a lot less) of regular driving. at $65 each installed, who can complain? it just sucks to search around and wait. i can get a pair of neo gens 225.40.18 for $212 installed. if ya'll say its good, ill try them out. cant justify the extra $82 if its only going to wear out just as fast.

thanks for your feedback guys

need pics....but im willing to bet that your toe is WAY out i dont think that you can put enough neg. camber on your car, with your toe in specs, to wear it out that fast

just check the alignment when you get your new tires

are you doing the alignment yourself?

you are experiencing toe wear not camber wear. get your toe in spec.

i have to run camber to clear my fenders. assuming the toe is set to spec, has anyone who has used these tires with negative camber seen more miles than other tires? if these tires wear the same as other tires, then it may not be worth it for me. if they wear better/slower/more evenly than other tires with camber, then i may just try them on.

thanks.

when doing an alignment, you need to get your camber in spec, then adjust your toe. your toe is out becouse camber wouldnt go through tires like that. not even a s*** load of camber. a pic would help. also, if this is your dd, why are you not concerned about road noise/wet/dry traction? getting neo gens would help a lil, but its like putting a bandade on a flat tire. plus, for the cost of those tires, you can FIX THE PROBLEM and get the arms you need to bring your alignment in spec. or, rase your damn car and run less camber.

No, toe is not to spec. period. you are experiencing toe wear. it's not hte tires, it's not the camber, it's toe wear.
