I need a solid tune for my CA in the spring. I just put on the T28 but don't want to crank the boost till I can figure out some sort of tune. Im on a budget but want to get the best for my money. Anyone running Greddy e manage on their car? Do you know what else I will have to buy besides the unit to get it all up and running?

http://www.greddy.com/products...ry=48

Thats the list.

Thanks for any info on a tune / e manage you can give me.

And I saw the e manage ultimate thread, but I have my own questions here so I made a new one.

I know that rexhunta has had good luck with it. I prefer a EPROM tune as opposed to a magic box remedy. I know that the FCON V in all its flavors is a popular solution, but I still prefer a retune of the factory ECU. Really, all you need is some bigger injectors and a bigger MAF with a proper AFR and EGT gauge and that is really all. T28 is small enough and flows little enough so that you don't have to be extreme in tuning it. Something along the lines of a SDS or MS3 is a better solution (MoTeC, Haltech or the like is an even better solution, but are very high dollar), but some are not that comfortable with the involvement that one of those solutions poses. Even look at a Apex'i PFC. I have an acquantance that runs one on his SR with great success. And if the $1200 for an N.O.S. CA18 PFC puts you off, http://www.rhombus-tuning.com/ can provide you with a CA18DET to SR20DET ECU harness. They have a very serious CA that runs this solution (SR D-Jetro PFC on CA). I emailed them about 6 months ago on the subject, and they have a complete conversion harness ready to go with no core for $350. Add the ~$400 for a PFC, another $200 for a Commander, and one of the many free software solutions out there, and you have a very economical option.

Thanks for the help! I already have a Walbro 255 pump installed. If I did some 550's, a Z32 MAF, and got the Air Fuel Gauge you think I wouldnt need a tune after all? Even if I was running about 12psi?

You would still need something to compensate for the injectors and MAFS.

ok, I was thinking maybe a simple dyno tune. Possibly when I get my e test done I might just combine it and do a few hp runs aswell. Its a quick fix but I think it will be fairly cheap.

several sxoc members been running emanage blue sucessfully. One of the earlier ca18s saw 20+psi for 2yrs+. It worksTiming control is a bit tricky, so you avoid misfiresAbility to tune fuel & timing perfectly to *your* motor, is the advantage over a rom tune.Excellent $300 option
