anyone running 20x9.5''s?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

i have 20x9's et38 on 255/40's and am perfectly flush with fenders. i want to run a 20x9.5 et44 (puts me flush still)with 255/40 tires. i know the wheels will fit. how will the extra 1/2 inch of wheel width affect the lateral handling of the tires?

=====anyone with pics and advice much apreciated

20x9.5 does work and works well!! 42 offset. 255's fit but have slight stretch which helps with sidewall rollover but leaves little protection. 265/40 would be ideal

265X40 you say would work perfect and what the width of rims? Also what did you use for lowering kit?

I have 3 months before I get my set up done on my EX35. Starting my shopping already :)

Thanks bud.

9.5" wide wheels just like the post says.... I am not lowered at all. my setup fills the wheel well perfectly. I only regret not going with a +44 of set versus the +42 I went with. 2mm isn't a huge deal. My previous set up I had 20x9 Verde wheels on 255/40's and had a bit of sidewall roll. wheels sucked!!! very hard to balance. finally got them balanced at the dealership (road force) Discount tire tried 16 times (no BS), I ended up getting a better quality wheel (MRR design wheels) I am still on the 255's that were on the 20x9's. they are a tad strected in the side wall ( same as the 245's on the 19x9's the as g37 coupe rears have) the stretch helped stiffen up the tires but now I have no rim protection. I'll be going to a 265/40 next. my 20x9's were a +38 offset to get the wheels flush with the fenders but that affected the scrub radius (look it up) which did affect the handling. I would recommend a 20x9.5 (alot of sites ay it wont fit but you could actually got with a 20x10 with a +45 offset)...A 20x9.5 wheel with an offset between 42-45 will keep your scrub radius the same and put the outside of the wheels flush with the fenders. the 255/40 tires I have on there now are a 28.1" diamenter (.5" LARGER THAN STOCK WHICH FILLS THE WHEEL WELL) I am not planning on lowering but if I did I would ONLY DO COILOVERS) dont waste time or money lowering with springs...it's cheap and will mess up a lot of s***...I have learned my lesson in the past....

Hi guys. I'm picking up my 2017 QX50 tomorrow with the optional 19" wheels and 245/45/19 tires. The rim width is 8.5. I really didn't need or want them because I'm used to a comfortable ride. I did drive the car for a short distance. Will the 19s on this car make me feel absolutely every bump and will it be extremely noisey compared to the stock 18s? It's too late now , but I was just curious. I know the tire wear is not great and expect to get not much more than 18,000 miles out of them with conservative driving. Thanks everyone!
