I run these on the back right now and have been satisfied with their performance, but I might go with something else http://www.bridgestonetire.com...=1113I've got 19X10.5's on the back and would like to know what people on here think the best tire would be. Something that will last, but will perform to. (I know, I can't have the best of both worlds) but I'd like to find a happy medium.

Might go with the Nitto's from the other thread. I've had Sumitomos in the past, and might go with those again. Anyways....thoughts

03' Sedan with BFG G-Force KDW 245/45ZR18 on Falken Wheels and they are pretty loud and have done well in the rain. They do tend to follow tar snakes and any other imperfections in the road, makes the car move from side to side when going in a straight line, corners great. They are a little bit louder than I would like. Still I would say they are a pretty good tire, when the road is new or nearly new they handle great and when over 100mph they handled great.

I had some Bridgestone's on the back before I replaced with with my Michelin PS2's. I found the Bridgestones to be very loud on the road...these PS2's are definitely one of the nicest tires I have had on a car.

I have those tires on my G coupe and I used to run them on my I30.

For the I30, I felt that they were perfect. It was nearly impossible to break them loose under spirited driving and they wouldn't chirp.

For the G, I'm not so impressed. I will say that the ones I have on it right now are worn pretty bad and I should get a fresh set to give an honest opinion, but I think they wear too quickly and the rear swings out too easily with them.

I've noticed that too^^ the rear end gets a little crazy a little too easy thx for the info all =)

I'll probably just go with some cheap ones for now and replace with some high dollar ones when I get back from Iraq (leaving in a couple weeks) I would just wait until I got back all together, but I'm runnin on 3 tires at the moment and the G doesn't go too well without 4 and I need it up and running so my trusted friends and family can drive it some while I'm gone so it stays in good shape.

Dido for me!

Check into the Kumho Ecsta SPTs or Nankang NSII. They seem like decent tires and should come in the right sizes. If not, you can save some money by tweaking the tire size a little.

I'm not sure which wheels the G measures the speedometer off of, but a 235/35/19 is about .6 of an inch shorter in overall diameter than the 225/40/19s are. Which translates to about .3 inches lower than stock. It will also give you a few more tire options.

Just wondering. My rears are verging on slicks because I need to replace them. Shouldn't the lack of tread provide more surface friction and therfore be stickier than with a healthy amount of tread?

Maybe that's just stupid logic. IDK. I took a corner a little fast earlier and the rear end started sliding (no gas)

No, the tire tread is gone...what's left is the outer core of the tire which isn't designed for traction. It might look like a slick, but it's not the same material.

Thank you for the clarification Joe.

I'll probably get another set of RE050As or Kumhos and see how they stick.

I have the Bridgstone RE050s on my 2007 G-35 Coupe RAS, 6MT, NAV. The tires don't stick as much in straightline take-off, but are great in turns and curves, and they last a long time. I have 15,000 miles on my car and the threads are still pretty visible on the car. At the rate at which they wear, I think I should be able to get 25,000 miles or more on those tires.
