anyone received official notification from Nissan about the passenger airbag?

I heard something about a recall on it b/c of the sensor, and i know from a roadtrip down to OC last weekend with my gf that there is definitely a problem.

I was wondering whether or not we would...I still haven't yet... Seeing as it was recently in the mass media, don't you think it would be sort of a liability for them not to officially send something out?

I didnt get anything official. I did call the stealership and i have an appointment to fix it on tuesday.

i called the stealership and they said there's no campaign for recall right now .

Im not sure what a campaign is but they lied, call another dealership.

Its not official yet, according to West Hills by Pittsburgh Airport, they do expect it to be in the next few weeks though, and it will be voluntary, nissan expects less than 1 % have the airbag problem. and its a little over 204K vehicles.

I was at the dealer on Thursday for new front brake assemblies (under warranty) and they knew (or admitted) nothing about the recall.

Then I Saturday I got rear ended by a pickup doing fifty while I was stopped.

Ouch!, I'm glad you're ok, that is the sickest feeling in the world, seeing that car out your rear-view knowing you are gonna get railed, happend to me and my buddy on I-70 just into MD on the way home to PA from the beach...what i pain in the a$$ too, had to friggin drive down there 3 seperate times for court.
