Don't "fix" the hanger! Right, it is supposed to be hung upside down, here's why: Spoken Chinese has many homophones (that's words that sound alike but mean different things, like there, their, and they're in Eng.) The word for upside down is "dao", "dao" is also "arrival" in Chinese. So well wishes like those characters hung upside down is to call for those good wishes to "arrive".
