SC requires no skill, you can die willy nilly. HC requires you be fast at alt+F4. I'll play either just LMK

In case anyone posting here isn't aware, if you associate your CD key(s) with a Battle.net 2.0 account, you will be able to download the full game at any time. Playing the downloaded version requires no CD in the drive. That goes for SC and BW as well.

I used to play DII a LOT. I haven't played it much in a while though. I actually have a PIII 500 laptop running Win98 specifically for older PC games like DII, though.

Back in ~'04 I spent huge amounts of time on Open B.net. Hacked dueling, and swapping characters between single and multiplayer. Closed never appealed to me much because I couldn't take my toons offline.

^ Back in the day we used to use Jamella Editor to hack items, and stuff, then play on Open B.net. Fun times.

I loved playing closed, and around 2004, I believe I was playing D2 and SC. I was in a big time map making clan on SC which took most of my time with my buds. However, was playing other games in the year, so I switched back and forth a few times. I started at the launch of .09 when .08 items were still being widely used. I had a few of those, some newer LOD stuff, etc. Well, further into .09 we got into Gheed Hack, and SOJ currency was through the roof. I was extremely rich, bringing us into hacked items. I remember Hacked VAMP GAZE rings, OCCY rings, WINDFORCE rings, Zephyr bows, etc. Good stuff.

So then I went back and forth, HC, LOD CLASSIC, Lod non-ladder, LOD Ladder, etc. One time on Classic lod, I was running cow games on my sorc, well this guy had a lot of hacked items that were being sold on Ebay. He gave me a 15/15/20 VAMP GAZE from Xpac on CLASSIC, among tons of other crap he had that was hacked, on classic. I got amazing rich.

I used D2jsp as well to make money, and sell items. Got rich from that.

So anywho, it always comes around. There will be one attempt from a person that you know, who does duping or something similar, that you will run into and get rich from. There was a hack where you could put an item in the window trade screen, and then drop from the game. Basically, the person you were with then opened the trade screen to the potential buyer, and the item would appear automatically. However, you were dropped from the game, and still had the item. The trade would take place. Typically we would trade really high end items, that were hacked, and "godly" for tons of crap, and in the end just keep getting richer and richer.

Good stuff. Lots of good times. Basically, Mad rich status using d2jsp, and D2 to trade items and currency. Also botting boss's was the thing to do. My buddy ran 3 bots, and then would move all his items. I would log onto his accounts and sell the items off of there, meaning, I would take less then half of the profit, if the item was 5 d2jsp currency, I would take 2, give him 3. I got rich from that. Went to HC with all my money, build me a BADASS druid, leveled him up, but unfortunately every time I played d2, and left, all my stuff would expire. Sucks. I had so much crap one time, so so so so rich, and my chars expired. Well then one day, D2 said they would bring back expired characters. My buddy had 8 accounts full of mules with expired tags, and he hung onto them, becoming rich all over again, because he had mad stuff, but it was all NON-ladder.

Tons of stories I have about d2, fun game. I quit it tho. My best friend died shortly after i moved away from where I lived, and me and him played d2 together for 3 years straight. Kinda just keep his memories, and mine of d2 together and I choose not to tread back through the past.

I'm looking for my CD key, i know i still have the case for that, even though i moved from Western US, to easter canada then to mountain / central canada (calgary).. lol just brought it along with the rest of my computer stuff.. lol

I'd be awesome to know that i sill have my characters, i could run all of you through the 1st and 2nd difficulties, i know my sorceress can make it through the 3rd but can't beat diablo alone

she was awesome for diablo runs on the 1st two difficulties, high chance for getting good gear, and 1 shot diablo in the first level.

however my barbarian was the blast at clearing cow levels, a lil tough on the 3rd level but still good.

man that game was fun. i'll let you all know what happens
