civics91, this is what i found-

91-mid 93 are all the same. Later 93s-94 are the same as S14s.The best way to tell on a 93 motor is to look for the SCVs, if it has it, they're early-mid, if not, it's a later model. SCV = Swirl control valves, or secondary butterflies. There's a large vacuum controlled actuator mounted on the back of the head that operates them.

speaking of parting out DE's Anybody got an oil pan? I heard if I gots two of them I can hold more oil and thats more lubrication for the engine. Jk, but i really do want one.
