Anyone painted their headlight housing ?

Im wanting to order some Flashtech Color Changing LED Halos for my car but seeing as the 10-13' versions of the altima coupe come with projector housing, im not gonna spend the extra $350 for the Halos to come in custom built housing from flashtech. BUT, i dont like the all over chrome look on my headlights so im wanting to paint them black. Anyone done this before ?

Yes. You need to bake your headlights and pry them open to get get to the inside then finish taking them apart. Can't remember what kind of spray paint I used but it wasn't anything special. Could use high temp paint to be safe. It's not too difficult you just need to take your time. Take off the grill. Take off the bumper. Disconnect/take off the lights and then disassemble them. I'd post pictures but my car is in the shop right now. If I get it back before I leave on a business trip I'll post pictures but hopefully someone else will.
