I've got a pretty unique ECU from what I can tell. It is labeled as a Factory Nissan Remnufactured ECU, and there is no number sticker on it (I think most people have a #62 or something like that). Upon close inspection, there is no LED in the code window. This got me wondering so I removed the lid and took a look. From what I can tell, there NEVER was an LED install, theres just the perfect spot to put one, without a trace of solder, empty on the board. There is also a daughter board hooked to it. I opened the KA ECU and there is no daughter board there. The daughterboard is removable, I can unplug it and the car will still run (at least at idle, I never tried driving without the daughter board.) Anyone know if the daughterboard is a normal thing, or is my ECU modded? Is there anyway to tell what program I'm running?

I opened mine recently since it has been acting up, and did not notice any type of secondary board. The board should be labeled where the LED should be placed.

I know that mine has been open before I have, since the sticker was peeled back to allow the door to be removed.

I have a 63, redtop, manual

Okay, so I have a daughterboard, and my car appears to have no speed limiter so maybe thats why. The mainboard does have a spot for an LED, but none was ever installed.

Now.... any ideas how to figure out just what my daughterboard is for? I'm using the stock MAFS and injectors so I don't think its any of those, and I can't imagine having a daughterboard just for a speed limiter removal.
