What's Counterstrike? Sounds like a new fps...

Is it an exclusive for the PS3 or 360? Or is it coming out for both? Please tell me its not some lame point and shoot for the Wii.

It's a PC game, its been around for quite awhile.

I've been playing it for around 7 years lol.

Counterstrike is a 10 year old PC game based on Half Life tech.Counterstrike Source is a 5-year-old remake of it based on Half Life 2 tech.

Every now and then when I get bored I play CS:Source and play in one of the gun game servers where you "level up" and get a new gun for every kill. Kinda fun actually.

And even though I made a little dig at the Wii, Nintendo could make an amazing shooter if they put a solid effort behind it. A semi-realistic light pistol (think Airsoft, not some Nerf styled gun) and the Wii Balance board for movement. As amazing as it could be I doubt it will ever happen.

Personally, I'm laying off FPS's until I get my hands on Riddick.

That would be pretty sweet - I bought the zapper (ghey, but it works) and ghost squad - it was a pretty fun play through - not like the arcade, but still worth while and worth playing...I would love to see something like time crisis come out for the wii with what you mentioned...

I will certainly keep my eyes open for that. I wonder how hard it will be since its a couple of years old, at least if (when) I find it I won't have to pay much.

I wasn't thinking about the balance board as a source of added tedium, though I can certainly see how it could end up that way if it weren't implemented well. I was thinking about it adding a seamless movement element to the game.
