I've noticed in this forum and the other 240sx ones that there has been lots of ca18det motor sets, clips or wahtever for sale, i wonder why.

Simple, they either didn't have enough knowledge/cash to do it or simply no longer want it .

Good for us faithful. Keeps the bandwagoners off our turf.

2 years with the CA and still rocking strong!!! In fact, I just upped the boost to 14psi. DAMN...this motor is awesome! And the "What the hell motor is that?" when I pop my hood for n00bs will NEVER get old!

Ive had my swap for about 5-6 years, and the car for 7 years. Some people just get bored, and want something else.

i love mine too eventhough it is not running yet. Just trying to get all the bugs out of the system first. The funny thing is that i called a local "tuner" shop in the area that "specializes" in SR's. I called to ask about wiring services for my CA before i decided to do it on my own, and the funny thing is that the owner stated "ive never even seen one of those before?". I just thought it was alittle comical to say the least. But yea, i love my CA and have not even driven it yet .

You are mistaken if you're talkin aboot the ca18det. More than 3 people in all of Quebec with the engine. It isnt well known but its around more than that.

What's a CA? Looks like I get to lean on one and see what it will do since the 180SX became my 180SX. You will do things to your own car you won't do to somebody elses. About all I need is cams and an engine management system. The VPC has served me well but piggyback is lame.

The prices on SR's have went up so much you have to sell two CA's just to to get one.

Lovin my new 200sx with the CA in it. This is number 3 for me. First one i smashed into a tree at 100mph and started it right up and drove it into the garage. Second one I bought for 500 bucks with a fist size hole in the block. Started it up and drove it into the garage (the noise that thing made WOW). Third one I paid 2000 for it with 150,000 km and a very very clean body. It is nice to lay the smack down to some of these over hyped German cars on the bahn. Even got a complete CA motor for 150 bucks with turbo because the guy didn't know what it was. Wish I knew more about motor stuff so I could get a little more out of it but it is still loads of fun.

drop a 7MGTE in the 240zs ...

check out the supra forums if you dont believe, but its a pretty common recipe to get around 400 crank hp with only about $1k into a 7mgte

BTW, TMS, toss me an email, tyrannix at gmail, i have a few questions about that 7M twin plate that you have most of

themadscientist, arent you the one that has those crazy jdm groupbuys?

anyways, i wish i can spend more on my ca on things such has injectors, fpr. But damn, 510 needs so much restoring parts lol.

I'm really curious to see is there a big difference between a stock sr versus a stock ca with a sr turbo.
