Anyone modifying their M30?
Saw an M30 today at the junk yard...looks like a really sweet ride and they are cheep too. Anyone convert to Manual or better yet maybe RB or SR motor? How good is the aftermarket support and does this model have a well established interchangebility with other Nissan. Thanks lot. sorry for my english.

chek f31club.com. its a site dedicated to m30s.
the m30 does have the same motor as the z31 300zx. so the turbo swap and 5spd can been done. has anyone done it? not to my knowledge. A guy in hawaii has done the 5spd swap and Naoki from driftday.com has done a sr20det swap, look for that car... its gonna be something.
since it does share the same motor, vg30e, as the z31 300zx, upgrades can be done. but the aftermarket for the m30 itself is pretty much nothing. the Rb series has been done in japan, from rb20 to rb26.
suspension mods are done by swapping s13, s14, z31 or 280z parts.
as for changing parts with other nissans, the m30 is the twin of the R31 skyline. and from what i gather, the whole front end bolts up.
other than that... its all jdm. my friend megesan got me some nissan leopard headlights. and there is a more healthy market in japan.
oh, only 5000 m30s were made (from what i understand) and if you did not know, the m30 was the f31 nissan leopard in japan.
even though options are few, these cars can be great sleepers.
