I went with a Fel-Pro, they look higher quality than stock and you get practically the entire gasket set for the engine for under $110 at the auto parts store. Also, it IS a soft metal headgasket and has proven to hold up VERY well.

i was giving the website name so you could call them up because they do offer metal headgaskets for the ka24de because I had one on my last motor. I purchased it in July sometime. It costs around $70 for a Multi layer steel but it costs more for a HP gasket which is meant for high boost and higher horsepower applications.Cometic will custom make for any bore size also.

check the 1.2 or 2.0 mm headgasket department. lower your compression a bit, give yourself a margin of safety.

i'm going with oem head gasket. I want a fuse. It's not guaranteed, but I like the idea of blowing a hole in my headgasket MUCH more than i like the idea of blowing a hole in a piston.

however, if the motor's built, and you're confident, get yourself a beefy gasket and you'll be good to go. I like Fel-Pro.
