I have a 95 nissan S14, and i repainted the car last month.

The headlights of the car looks pretty old because of the new

paint, is there any way to clean or polish the headlights? Please

help~

Novus's 3 stage plastic polish works for me, and if I rem right techno as well.

It will take some elbow grease (I just took my headlights out and did it in my room) but they will look alot better. You can get it from http://www.usplastic.com which is a great company.

The kit is enough to do god knows how many times, way more then you will ever use, so go out and clean all your clear plastics like I did. Any time I find a hazed plastic I bust out this stuff :)

Only alternatives are new lights, $$$ german spec s14 200sx glass ones (jdm will blind people as its aimed wrong), or go to a 97-98 front end hehe. Could always sand them too but they will be very hazey.

I have an S13, but from reading this forum and this topic long enough, just go out and buy some fingernail polish remover, and it supposedly works wonders for the look of your lights.

even though it's plastic i've used a glas polish on plastic parts like headlights and tail lights before and it cleaned it all right up. Just something with that VERY mild abrasive to dig it and get the dirt cleaned up.

lateralmoion is absolutely correct!!

Buy some fingernail polish remover (make sure it has acetone). Just apply it to a rag and wipe the lenses off. It works amazingly well. I did it twice on each headlight and they look like new. It took a total of 5 minutes.

Make sure you don't spill any on your paint though.

i just finished attempting to use the fingerprint remover on the

headlight of my car, all the yellowish are gone, but a white coat

stick on it making it looks blurr. That coat can't be wiped off by

the remover or water,... looks like it is covered by the vitamines

from the fingerprint remover. Is there any way to fix that?

Anyone?~

Take a mild grit sandpaper and go over it then take buffing compound and buff them... voila new shiney plastic. You arent supposed to use Fingernail Polish Remover on plastic, it degrades it.
