I am really getting of sick of my EGR problems... The CEL on an otherwise pristine running Q just doesnt seem right..... So I need to continue diagnosis... I do need a vacuum pump, but I dont want to throw down a lot of money on something ill use a couple times nad then do nothing with it...

If I could get one for like $20-30, then Id be happy, but I dont konw..

Does autozone rent them, or some place like that...

A hand vacuum will work, right? Something like this:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...&rd=1Use it to test check valves and bleed your brakes too if you don't have speedbleeders.

Wes, that's the exact vacuum pump kit that I have. It works great.

Especially for bleeding the brakes.

Wes, you're only 18. You're what we call a "late bloomer".

Don't worry, it'll grow.

Just from comparing the pictures, they look the same, but I don't know for sure.

was at harbour freight this afternoon, they have 2 versions of the mitivac pump-the 55$ one comes in a case, and is made of metal, the 33$ one looks identical, but is plastic and does not come in the fancy case-I say, unless you will be using this very frequently, the plastic one will do just fine.
