Anyone know where I can get a FWD 5speed sr20de transmission??????(PLEASE READ)

Looking for a 5 speed transmission for a 98 sr20de 2.0L, if anyone knows were I can find one for a good price let me know ASAP!!!

local junk yard is your best bet. it doesn't have to be from 98 either. any sr20 transmission from 91-2002 will work. The only main difference is that in 91-94 the trannys were prone to 5th gear pop out. That issue was fixed in late 94. The newer transmissions, 1999-2002 are hydraulic and require you to switch them over for your cable operation.

So this leaves you many options for transmissions:91-94 sentra se-r/nx20095-97 200sx se-r98-00 sentra se w/pp for lsd91-96 g20t for lsd, standard g20 didn't have lsd.99-02 g20t/sport for lsd, once again standard g20 didn't have lsd.

Hey man thanks a bunch, that info helps out a bunch. Yea 5th gear is out on my trans and the whole thing is pretty much garbage so need to find a new one pretty soon cuz a friend is buying it and wants me to find him a trans. Ill go check the junk yards or ebay or sumthin, if you know anything else that might help me then let me kno, k thanks man

And on a further note, when shopping for your new trans - make sure if yours has lsd, that you get one with lsd, and if you dont have lsd, get one that doesn't. The lsd/non lsd transmissions use a different driver side axle.

well, he was looking for a b14 trans - and was informed he could use any 91-01 trans - just figured I narrow down the list a bit for him I found out the hard way on the last b14 200sx I built about the axle/trans differences
