Thats the shift solenoids harness. You have to drop the pan and unplug the three solenoid plugs, and unbolt the small temperature sensor if you want to remove that harness (pull it out) from the transmission. If you do, be careful with the plastic plugs, the little safety tabs you have to pull up on to disconnect them are very brittle. I have broken many of them.

thanx man. I've heard so many answers that I didn't need and I think they were just "flamin" me. I actually decided I could splice em if I keep the automatic so I cut em bak about 1 foot long. I wanted to look over the conversion thread before I decide on the standard.
