might be super late but it appears to be this (see link)... if you scroll down.. it appears to be the 6th picture down.,. a tie rod spacer??

Definitely not a tie rod spacer. Looks like a rubber thing that i have never seen on a 240 before. Maybe flip it around and take a pic of the other side. Looks like rubber over molded metal.
