I have a 1990 Infiniti Q45. Sadly the upper control arms are beginning to fail and I was told that the radial arm is also showing signs of failure. Being the college guy that I am, I want to do the repair for myself instead of someone else.

The problem lies in what the heck a radial arm is? I already have ordered the upper control arms.

Any help is appreciated.

I am going to go ahead and guess tension rod. The are sort of like a radius arm, but not really. They do have bushings that fail over time.

No Radial arm in the FSM.

Maybe the tension rod bearing?

Radial arm is an unfamiliar name.

What does your inspection of the suspension components reveal?

Thanks all. I appreciate the info. The tension rod bushing was really nasty, and will be replaced this weekend.
