RB26 block has thicker castings at the bottom for the AWD oil sump and only has one oil feed to the head. Rear feed is blocked from the factory.

Have only seen pictures but the RB25DET VVT, VCT or whatever you guys call it, has an oil feed at the front top of the block for feeding into the cylinder head.

Totally different. The oil pickup is in a differnt place, ribbing is different, head gasket surface is different.

What exactly do you need to know as I have all series and capacities of blocks stripped at the moment and can take photos etc.

I'm sure i'm the not the first to wonder this, but i was mainly wondering if the RB26 was a beefed up RB25? Cylinder wall thickness the the same? lubrication system?(that one was already answered so thats out the window.)

I recently finished school and am now pulling myself out of dept, I wanted to do the SR swap for the longest, but I see them everywhere now. So I was debating RB25 maybe...not likely RB26. I read the comparison thread but wanted to know the differences in the actual blocks cause if it wasnt much then theoreticly I could achieve what I want with an RB25, but I couldnt find what I was looking for searching even though I'm sure its been asked before.
