?curiuos as to know why?
i mean u can just walk into any parts store to measure it yourself...
i'm more curious as to which larger ford oil filter this member used in his car to have similar benefits of more filter media in the fuel filter area (300zx upgrade)

Yea, I'm just a wee bit lazy since it's not a big priority.
Reason why I wanted to know is that I will be getting a oil filter adapter "heat sink" that wraps around the filter to act as a semi oil cooler. I know I can just run an oil cooler, but I don't want to run that yet, especially w/o getting a thermostat controller for it.
It's something I'll be measuring once I relocate it so I can use my gauge sensors for oil temp & pressure instead of tapping into some other line.

are you using an oem filter? get ahold of dan-tech over in advertisers forum. very helpful guy.

I'd say it's about 4-5" in circumference.
Best to just go measure one at a parts store.
Also, hit up http://www.splparts.com ... we found the best oil filters (better than Nissan OEM!).

bump ttt... does any1 know? having a larger capacity oil filter w/ more filter media would be nice, just like the 300zx fuel filter upgrade...
