Just wondering if anybody knew about the company SOKO who imports SR20DET motor and is located in Chicago. I read about here, from Mike J at [email protected].

After talking to Mike J. for about 3 mins and having him swear at me numerous times before even explaining who I am or why I am talking to him, he blocked me from MSN messenger so I am hoping someone else knows about this company. Has anyone here dealt with them? Do they import full clips? Do they offer any kind of warantee? I am located in the Chicago area and would like to not pay the shipping cost for the engine and just pick it up there. Thanks for the help everyone.

2500 bucks? I believe Dauntless sells them for 2200 complete and top price for shipping is 250 no matter where you live. Personally, I don't know if I could trust anyone who gave me **** for spending 2500 with their company. Just a thought.

SOKO screwd me bad after sending me a blown motor, I DO NOT recomend them to anybody. They are a bunch of crooks and liers. I ended up spending over 500 shipping a chunk of scrap iron around the country so they could make a few bucks on me.

Don't deal with them, or their sister company's Soshin or Soin.

Wow, that's some good information to know. Thanks again everyone. Hey Dauntless, I know you don't sell front clips, but your engines have everything including ICs, does it include the radiator or should the original be reused? Do you dyno test the motors or at least make sure they are in good running condition? What I mean is, does your start up warantee guarantee that the everything is in good condition including turbo. Or does it mean that the engine will start, but no guarantee if the turbo is shot or burns oil? Thanks again for all the info.

I haven't heard good things from them either. When I first started looking into SR20s, I called a few shops and SOKO wanted me to call some guy specifically at JWT to get some stuff. I figured it was for performance, but it turned out that it was for the SR20DE Distributor and retune for the KA24xx ECU, which came out to about 1100 bucks. Meaning that the engines from SOKO don't come with ECU's or CAS's, and who knows what else it didn't come with.

Go with someone who at least seems to run a good business, go through Dauntless or phase2motortrend or Heavy Throttle or something.
