Check the sticky posts at the top of the forum. 94 was a transitional year for the 240sx. The 94 convertible was the only 240sx offered that year. They were essentially left over 93's. They sold off the remainder of the verts and then launched the s14 model in 95. I believe, therefore, that there were less verts sold in 94 than previous years. The 94 was the only model offered in the pearl red (maroon'ish) color.

In other words. ALL 1994 240sx were convertibles.

If you have a 240sx from 1994 - it's a convertible.

Are you sure on this? I've noticed my fenders are different than others. I know it because aftermarket hood dampers fit on other s13s, but not on mine. Man, maybe I finally get an answer for it.

Sorry, gonna beg to differ.

Considering I've owned 3 droptop 240's, and have swapped fenders on all of them, I'm guessing yours were perhaps modded by someone before you got it.

Here's the deal - Your 94 is a leftover 93 Coupe with the top lopped off by ASC.

That would mean 93 Coupe fenders are different, and they're not. I have a 93 convertible, which also was a 93 Coupe at one time.

BTW, it's "mine", not "mines".

I'd be curious to see what he means by "wider fenders"... Would love to see some pics, maybe with a tape measure for reference, so we could figure out what's different about his.

I measured my 94, and it's 7 1/2 inch. This is the area that I measured.

Get outta here with yer fancy s14 front end

Alright I went out and got some data. Here is my 94'. I measured the same spot that Nemo did:

And here is my sister's 93' (its either a 92 or 93):

They both come out to about 7.5 inches

Just a thought as to what fresno might mean. Seeing as how all the Verts came with that additional piece at the bottom at the front bumper, maybe that is where he meant. That part is kinda unique to our as they are SE's. I was trying to help him with the beat down. I can't tell you the measurements on mine as the fenders disappeared years ago.

Are you talking about front bumper extension or front OEM lip? Originally, Vert didn't come with OEM lip. I think it's because vert is slightly lower than coupe/hatch. All chukis have bumper extensions.
