Anyone know of a SR20DET supplier/installer in Richmond Va? I think it's time to install a SR in my '92 S13 and I'm wondering if there is anyone local that can source/install/tune a SR for me.

Thanks for the help,-VA240

I don't know about richmond...but down here on the peninsula there are plenty of shops that are well trained in SR swaps...One shop told me about 3K for everything, thats labor and the clip. Let me know if your going to come down and ill meet you at a shop. By the way, i am talking about Va Beach and Hampton area. Hope that helps

the one i deal with, and know some peeps from is called Next Level Performance....they have lost count of how many SR20's they have done. I got my extra KA from them once they pulled it from another 240. It is in Va beach, at Virginia Beach BLVD and Newtown Road

Could you dig up their phone number for me? I'd like to give them a call and see what they have to offer.

just go to DragVa.com and sign up...then search on there for it...or ask who works there...plenty of people do. Right now the site is down so i can't do it for you...Some guys do work for both of those shops....i have heard good things from JGY too.

I would not reccomend Next Level personally. My best friend is friends with Noll that works there and he got his SR done there. Runs like ****...won't idle, doesn't pull like it should. I suggested timing or possibly bad 02 sensor. He brought it back up there and they couldn't fix it for him. I believe he's brought it up there two seperate times and they've either told him they don't know what's wrong with it or they didn't have time to look at it. Seems pretty ****ty to me for someone who's already paid for a swap from them. Anyways, from what I've heard they don't know **** when it comes to nissans. One of their techs was out at the races one nite and came up to my car when it was stock with exhaust dp and straight pipe....told me that I need to get a cone filter cuz it would make "so much more power". He tried to sell me one from them. I told him that was bull**** on a boosted car and he argued with me and I told him then why the hell did the sr ya'll just did ( my friend's ) dyno 2 hp less with the exact same mods with the exception of him having a hks filter??? He was like I dunno man but it does. I was like yeah ok just go fix james car then talk to me. I just wouldn't reccomend them man, if you going to be spending that much money on something you want it done right and running smooth. My friend is good friends with a tech there and his car is still running like ****, they haven't fixed it and it isn't a priority to them. I would look into Abacus Racing. I know a guy that works there and they supposedly have done alot of nissans. They have an awesome shop tho. Thats where we dyno'd our cars. If all else fails, Get you motor set and everything you need and I'll do your swap for a good price. I did mine and am supposed to do another one here soon. My runs great, no problems so far with the exception of me running 13psi on the stock intercooler and blowing the turbo...lol...but thas ok have a whole new setup on the way. But yeah if you're willing to travel down here, I can hook you up, just don't go to next level.

You may want to look into JGY Customs. I think they'd be closer to you as well. I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Richmond is so sorry when it comes to imports, especially competent people that know anything about Nissans. I took mine up to DC man.

I heard bad stuff about Next Level. I was talkin to this cat in D.C. and he was tellin he heard of a couple people got their swaps done there and then a couple weeks later their car was stolen. Well its not really bad on them but take it as you want to. Personally I'm gonna be dealing with JGY in a couple of weeks for my SR swap and many other goodies I can let you know how it goes.

Yeah there used to be a place downtown Richmond called Rosen Autosport. They did SR, VG and CA swaps. The shop closed down last year though. I know of no other ones at all within an hour and a half of us.
