It might be easier to get a 2004 Y34 that will hold the gear instead of shift for you ....as it approaches redline. The 2004 rev limiter is the only thing keepin you from winding the rpm needle past 7G. (That could probably ony be done once anyway before it self destructed.)
Fore a manual....you'd have to cut in a clutch, hydraulic lines, master cylinder, reconfigure the output shaft and probably the CANBUS system to make this work if there were a trans that could handle it. I don't think it would be worth it to find out if it works.
Hell it might be easier to get a 2004 trans control module that will let you hold a gear and hopefully it will work.
Still easier to look for a 2004 model & just unload yours.
