Anyone know how to replace the "heater control intake sensor" PN 27723-4P000 ??

Hi, Used the search and no answer, I have a problem with an Infiniti QX4 2001 with automatic climate control, Another member had the same problem with a maxima ( heat only working when temp is placed at 82 and above, otherwise cold air) and this sensor fixed the problem. Hoping that there is a manual somewhere or instructions on how to replace this part.

Any info on a repair manual to purchase or instructions would be greatly appreciated.

I just looked at this, and the part number you gave me is for the INTAKE SENSOR, sometimes referred to as the "thermosistor"

It is mounted just past the evaporator. you will probably have to drop the cooling unit out, but you probably dont have to completely take the evaporator out... Shouldnt be too hard, just take the bottom of the cooling unit out and you should be able to get it out. Im not sure if you can get it out any other way but you might be able to.

This is under the dash, correct? Do you have any pics or diagrams of where, roughly, this is located as I have no idea where to begin disassembly. Do you know if the dash needs to come out or can the bottom passenger side of the HVAC ductwork can be removed and then gain access this way.
