Anyone know how to remove the Maplight/Sunglass holder

Im having trouble removing the maplight/sunglass holder so i can remove it and tap into power for my radar.. there are no screws inside.. this is for a newer gen g sedan..

Usually you would remove the sunvisors and then pull down the headliner. But may just be able to use a puller tool or screwdriver to pop it out.

Do you have homelink on your car? If yes you don't have to remove anything. All you have to do is get invisicord and mike's mounth for you radar. Will cost you around 30 and unplug the homelink wire( it is a plug easy to unplug) from the back and tap the inviscord into it. That would be the cleanest installation you'll ever find.

Yeah, that would be best. I have the invisicord but have yet set it up :(

my cord right now i have a mute button.. when using the blend mount on the escort 9500ix the mute button gets covered by the bottom of the mirror.. so i made it work and still used the power behind the mirror with my smart cord with mute button..

That's the main reason I have not replaced the cord, I didn't want to lose the mute on the power cord. I know you can get a remote for it but where oh where to place it.

yup.. sometimes the k-band/alarms get so annoying and mute comes in handy..
