I am considering modifying my exhaust. I very much like the look of having exhaust coming out of both sides of the rear. I know it already has dual exhaust, but if i'm gonna change it I want to bring it to both sides. I don't wanna make it look like crap though. I want to have the passenger side of the bumper look exactly like the driver side. Anyone know how I could form it without cutting it out? I was thinking maybe heating it up somehow and using a pipe to kind of roll the form in.

Cut a smaller outline about 1/3" smaller than what you actually want it to be, use a torch, heat and roll. I belive its ABS plastic so it should take well to heat.

Otherwise, cut, mold with fiberglass/bondo and your set.

There's a pic of a burgundy car with exactly what you're referring to on line somewhere. I recall posting it when I first signed up with NICO, not realizing it wasn't a G50.

I'm not sure exactly how you'll accomplish this, but 2 things to keep in mind, is a balance between having the 2 openings looking symmetrical, and the space under the rear of the car to run the second pipe. Maybe mock up the exhaust first to see if you'll have to make any trunk/body mods to make it work?

This was briefly discussed in an old thread I digged up, check in the middle:

However, if you put the right muffler somewhere before the differential and just run the pipe to the bumper then symmetry could be archived by bending the right exhaust pipe inward.

If you must do this, please make them spaced out correctly! Notice how far to the right the pass side pipe is.

Personally, I'd much rather see a nice fat VIP style single muffler with two fat tips on the one side only.

Falk... what do you use to keep your engine compartment clean?

Was that completely random and off the topic of the thread? Yes. My apologies.

Damp (not wet! just lightly damp) towels. When I wash the Q, after I'm done drying, I'll use a damp microfiber to wipe down the interior, and I'll use a damp cotton towel (from the ones that I use on wheels, door jambs, engine and trunk gutters only) to wipe the engine bay. It's mostly dust that needs cleaning, but every now and then (2x a year, tops) I'll spray vinyl shine onto a towel, and wipe plastic with it.

The spare tire is in the way, in the G50. The easiest way to make both sides the same, is to cut each side out.

The spare tire well is WAY too deep for the donut, & who puts the flat tire back in th well, anyway.

I have been wanting to cut the well out completely, then rotate it so it is exaclty centered, then I could make the exhaust perfeclty symetrical.
